I've always been athletic, starting soccer at 5 and dedicating all my time (6 days a week) to highly competitive play until one day at 15 I had my first weightlifting experience and immediately fell in love! From that point on I spent 6 days a week weightlifting and stopped playing soccer at 17 years old!
I spent so much of my time reading bodybuilding magazines and articles online, which at the time were all about dairy protein and meat! I was a heavy meat eater and even committed to a diet called GOMAD (gallon of milk a day) which then caused me massive amounts of acne. I was convinced that to build muscle and perform well as an athlete you needed tons of animal protein. It cause me extremely bad acne and one day I decided to eliminate dairy which massively improved my acne, that's what peaked my interest in veganism.
I then went vegan at 23, which means I've now been vegan for 4 years! Since then my interest in food and my love for cooking has grown immensely! I grew leaner, stronger and bigger all from plant based foods! I proved to myself that I didn't need animal products and now I want to prove the same to the world!
